Advances in Robotic Knee Replacement: Surgery&Rehabilitation
About
This CPD activity aims to equip GPs with evidence-based knowledge and practical skills to support patients undergoing robotic-assisted knee replacement. With rising rates of knee osteoarthritis and increasing use of robotic technology, GPs must understand the surgical rationale, patient selection criteria, and robotic workflows to guide informed referrals. Post-operatively, GPs play a vital role in monitoring recovery, managing pain, and identifying complications. The module integrates rehabilitation protocols, physiotherapy insights, and real-world case studies to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration. By the end of the session, GPs will be able to recognise key red flags, navigate referral pathways, and confidently manage patients from pre-op to recovery.Date
