Lung Swara Ensemble - a creative development presentation

An unmissable performance adventure. A visceral musical collaboration between experimental musicians from Java, Melbourne and Castlemaine.
World renowned Indonesian artist Cahwati Sugiarto (voice/dance/percussion) and celebrated Australian experimental musicians Aviva Endean (clarinet/electronics) and Matthias Schack-Arnott (percussion/electronics). The group combines Javanese song and dance with visceral sonic textures to create music that is hypnotic and transformational.
This presentation is taking place on the lands of the Djaara people. We pay our deep respects to Elders past and present and their living culture.
This presentation has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body, Victorian Government through Creative Victoria, Mount Alexander Shire Council, Playking Foundation and Studio 24.
Access: This event is free. The Phee Broadway has accessible step-free access and parking nearby.
