We, at Adelaide Tamil Association (ATA), are delighted to announce our most awaited and well-loved “Deepavali 2025” celebration!Deepavali, also known as the Festival of Lights, holds special significance for Tamils around the world. tt is celebrated to commemorate Lord Krishna and Goddess Satyabhama’s victory over the demon Narakasura, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. For Tamils, Deepavali is also a time of joy, renewal, and togetherness — marked by new clothes, delicious sweets, oil baths at dawn, and the lighting of lamps to bring prosperity and happiness to every home.
As part of these celebrations, community groups, cultural associations, and talented individuals are going to showcase their performances and creativity, making this festival a true reflection of our culture and unity. Join us in celebrating Deepavali 2025 — one of Adelaide’s most colourful and memorable multicultural events!
