Perth Youth Ballet is searching for Perth’s young aspiring dancers, female and male aged 8–21 years, to audition for both junior and senior cast roles in our 2026 production, PRETENCE/ Coppélia.Under the direction of Producer & Artistic Director Leanna Del Basso, and alongside an outstanding returning faculty including Liam Blair, Lauren Limmer, and Candice Adea, performers will be guided by Perth Youth Ballet’s 2026 leadership team. Together, they will work closely with dancers to mentor, challenge, and inspire throughout the rehearsal and performance process.

Rehearsals commence: Late January 2026
3-day intensive: 21–23 January 2026
Sunday rehearsals: Commencing 1 February 2026
Performance date: 18 April 2026

Liam Blair
Originally from Perth, Liam is a classical ballet teacher and former principal dancer with Aalto Ballett Essen (Germany). Trained at leading institutions in Australia, the USA, and Monaco, Liam returns to Perth Youth Ballet after developing our cast for *Divergence* (2024), bringing technical precision, musicality, and performance integrity to *PRETENCE/ COPPELIA*.
Lauren Limmer
Lauren brings extensive international performance experience across Europe, having danced with companies in Germany and beyond. Returning after her work on *Divergence* (2024) and *Essence of Sleeping Beauty* (2025) at His Majesty’s Theatre, Lauren continues her artistic collaboration with Perth Youth Ballet, supporting dancers with clarity, artistry, and performance confidence.
Candice Adea
Candice is a globally acclaimed Filipina ballerina, recognised for her success at major international competitions and her professional career with Ballet Philippines, Hong Kong Ballet, and as a soloist with West Australian Ballet. Returning after her work on *Essence of Sleeping Beauty* (2025), Candice brings refined artistry, global perspective, and inspiring mentorship to Perth Youth Ballet in 2026.
