About
Charlie Wu is Concertmaster of the School Orchestra at Caulfield Grammar School and studies piano with Glenn Riddle. In 2025, he won 1st prize in the Concours International Musicale de Genève in Switzerland, performing Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D. Other concerto performances in 2025 included Liszt’s Piano Concerto No 2 with Melbourne Sinfonia, and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No 3 with Camerata Orchestra, where he won 1st Prize in the Boroondara Open Concerto Competition. Charlie also won the Musical Society of Victoria’s prestigious Nehama Patkin, and Edith Schurmann Awards.In 2026 Charlie will perform Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No 3 with the Maroondah Symphony Orchestra and a solo recital as part of the Camberwell Music Society’s Subscription Concert Series.
Doors open for refreshments 11.45 am. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided - BYO sandwiches Concert 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm.
