Description: Lost and hunted by humans, a little bear’s courage and friendship light the way to saving her home. Deep in the Peruvian Amazon, a little bear named Milagros lives happily with her family. When taken far from home and separated from her brother, Milagros finds herself alone and trapped in a foreign part of the forest ruled by men. There, she meets a small fox, and together they plan their escape, setting off on a wild journey to find her brother. Lost and hunted by humans, can she brave the dangers and reunite with him?
Based on a true story from 2003, when a TANS Perú airline crashed in the Peruvian Amazon. Amid the wreckage, a spectacled bear was killed – but miraculously, one of her cubs survived. Rescued from captivity, the young bear, later named Milagros, became known for her clever escapes. Eventually released back into the wild, Milagros inspired a beloved children’s book and the animated film LITTLE WONDER BEAR.
LITTLE WONDER BEAR has made history as the first animated film certified Climate Positive by the United Nations. The film’s production offsets more carbon emissions than it generates. From pre-production through post-production, the entire filmmaking process adhered to rigorous UN climate action standards. The certificate confirms that the film’s production has positively impacted the environment, going beyond carbon neutrality to support environmental restoration.
