This intimate program explores Australian composers alongside some of the guitar's most important works.
Tommaso Girotto is a young Australian guitarist who has dedicated himself to his passion for music since the age of 10, and continues to share this passion through performance and teaching. He has studied with renowned guitarists around the world, including with Giuseppe Zangari in Australia, Allan Neave and Ian Watt at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Goran Krivokapić at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
Tommaso has received prizes in various competitions within Australia, including third place in the Adelaide International Guitar Festival 2023, and first prize in the Sydney Eisteddfod in both the ‘under 18s’ and ‘any age’ categories. He has competed in the finals of international guitar competitions, such as the Istanbul Classical Guitar Competition and the Adelaide International Classical Guitar Competition.
