Alongside our esteemed Dance North Academy faculty, we are pleased to welcome MEDHI ANGOT, former Principal Dancer with The Royal New Zealand Ballet, as a Guest Teacher for our Summer Intensive 2026.We are also thrilled to be having dance critic, Doctor and host of the award-winning Talking Pointes Podcast CLAUDIA LAWSON join us for an exclusive Q&A with Dance North Academy Faculty.
MEDHI ANGOT
Born in France and trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School, Medhi's ballet career soared when he joined the English National Ballet in London at 17. He danced as a soloist in renowned productions and later moved to the Royal New Zealand Ballet, taking on principal roles over five years.
Returning to France in 2013, he became a Principal dancer with the Nice Opera Ballet, mastering classical and contemporary works. In 2021, he became a permanent Classical tutor at the New Zealand School of Dance.
Since April 2023, Medhi has excelled as a freelance ballet coach and consultant. He prepares students for prestigious competitions like Prix de Lausanne and the Youth America Grand Prix, and shares his expertise as a guest teacher with the Royal New Zealand Ballet.

CLASSES
Students will enjoy a diverse range of classes, including ballet, pointe, boys coaching, variations, repertoire, and contemporary.
