IYMI and Dr Yi-Yang Chen Fundraising Concert

The second concert will be at Lazenby Hall (UNE), Armidale on Sunday 15th March 2026. The performance will start at 3pm and features international concert pianist and Professor of Piano at University of Kansas, Dr. Yi-Yang Chen, The Armidale Symphony Orchestra, guests from the Armidale Youth Orchestra and renowned conductor Robert van Gend. The concert will start with Matthew Minter’s commissioned composition, followed by Haydn’s London Symphony number 104 in D. After the interval Dr. Yi-Yang Chen and Robert van Gend will perform Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto with the ASO and guests from the AYO.
There will be a soirée in the UNE Bistro ((next door) with a Question and Answer session with Dr. Yi-Yang Chen and light entertainment from the amazing classical guitarist Dr. Peter Doublinszki. As there are legal restraints only the first 220 purchasers may have a ticket for this, at a cost of just $5. Drinks and light snacks will be available for purchase from UNE Life.
