HIGH ALTITUDE EXCHANGE Symposium
About
Presented by 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art, Arts House and Kalā Kulo, the High Altitude Exchange Symposium marks the culmination of the High Altitude Exchange International Residency Program — a collaborative initiative connecting First Nations artists from Australia and Adivasi artists from Nepal. As the closing program of this international residency, the symposium brings together artists, curators, and researchers from across Australia, Nepal, and the Asia-Pacific to reflect on creative collaboration, Indigeneity, and cultural exchange across geographies.
Through conversations exploring history, ecology, and contemporary practice, this gathering re-centres the artist’s agency in shaping cross-cultural dialogue and shared imagination between highlands and cities, mountains and oceans.
