About
Join us in a discussion of wide-ranging gender-based violence (GBV) topics including⧫ responding to technology-based GBV
⧫ addressing GBV using a human rights approach
⧫ helping children exposed to family violence form healthy relationships as they mature.
These perspectives will be given by Professor Elspeth McInnes, Associate Professor Sarah Moulds and Dr Fiona Buchanan, followed by a facilitated Q&A discussion session.
This event is presented by the National Council of Women South Australia and the University of South Australia to mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The "16 Days” is an international campaign that runs annually from November 25 to December 10 to end violence against women and girls. It highlights that this violence is a human rights violation and encourages action to prevent and eliminate it. The campaign starts on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and concludes on Human Rights Day.
