10 Years of Yoga| Day Retreat at Surf Coast Yoga Bells Beach

This December, I’m celebrating ten years of teaching yoga — a decade of sharing this life changing practice, of witnessing growth, of being a co-creator in the bhava, of swimming in an ocean of love.Ten years of watching you all fold, fly, melt, break, breathe, surrender and return home, again and again.
To mark this milestone, I’m offering a day retreat at the Surf Coast Yoga shala in Bells Beach on Sunday 14 December 2025.
This shala at this studio demands our reverence. It is a beautiful space imbued in a special energy & is surrounded by the bush, moments from the ocean.
To make the most of this, we’ll practice with the windows open to allow all of nature to wrap around us as we breathe and move on our mats.
I am offering two practices on retreat day. You can choose to do one or both practices to suit your needs and desires.
In the morning (10.30am to 1.00pm) we’ll move into a strong slow flow practice full of steady, intentional movement building up to free flow with optional hands-on support. This 150-minute practice is designed to get you deep and juicy into your own experience by incorporating pranayama (breathwork), mantra and meditation & grounding poses on either side of our flow.
If you have a regular practice, this practice is going to offer you a chance to get really, really deep on your mat, in your body, in your inner experience and in your breath.
I will offer this class in English with Sanskrit translations offered throughout. But, please don't be intimidated if you are unfamiliar with Sanskirt! Please see this as a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice further.
1:00 pm to 2:30 pm is our lunch break. You can take this as me time to integrate either on or offsite. There’s a million possibilities at your fingertips with bushwalks, epic surf breaks, beaches and Jan Juc nearby to explore.
You can also join us for a plant-based graze outside the shala (mum is making her very loved rice paper rolls, Sam is making his epic choc chip cookies) there will be fruit and iced tea and other treats to snack on. There’s no cost to come and graze, but do give me a heads up if you are joining us so we make sure there’s plenty to share!
In the late afternoon (2:30pm to 5:30pm), we’ll move into 180 minutes of melting. We’ll practice grounding, pranayama (breathwork) and mantra as well as the main event: the most delicious, bone melting yin / restorative yoga / trigger point myofascial release with cork therapy balls and optional hands-on support.
This retreat is an invitation to pause and resource before the year ends — to breathe deeply, move intentionally, and return to what feels steady, radiant and true.

**Please arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes beforehand to give yourself a chance to be warmly welcomed, have a cup a tea, ground, set up your mat and take in your surrounds. BYO mat, water bottle and mug, as well as any other things you love to have in your practice, like eye pillows, socks, journals, pens etc. The studio has basic props.
