Before PidBali gets under way, the Barristers of Francis Burt Chambers invite solicitors who are keen to develop their skills and understanding of effective trial advocacy to a 2 hour practical session about case analysis, advocacy, and trial skills.

This session is aimed at solicitors of all levels and attendees will be able to include their year of admission and/or litigation experience on booking so that Francis Burt Chambers can make sure you get the most out of the experience.

Attendees of this session will be eligible to claim 2 CPD points, in addition to CPD points claimed from Conference attendance.

We also extend our thanks to Francis Burt Chambers for hosting this event.

Access to Justice

Like all Piddington events, your attendance at the Conference goes toward our access to justice projects. These include the Piddington Justice Fund for community legal centres; the Piddington PLT Fund for the CLCs that host Piddington PLT graduates to complete their hours required for admission; and, a First Nations legal education fund. We also fund the Christine Wheeler Scholarship and John Chaney Award for new law graduates and law students.

Refunds:

  • 75 percent refund is available for cancellations made before 15 December 2025.
  • 50 percent refund is available for cancellations made before 2 February 2026.
  • 25 percent refund is available for cancellations made before 2 March 2026.
  • No refunds will be issued after 2 March 2026, as conference and catering costs will have been committed to the vendor.

Note:

Practitioner ID numbers are issued by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia. Information from the Board is available here. We require these to issue CPD certificates. If you do not want a CPD certificate, please put '00000' in the box on the booking form.

This program is delivered by The Piddington Society, an accredited CPD Provider approved by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia. CPD schemes in other Australian jurisdictions do not accredit or pre-approve providers or courses. As a result, practitioners outside Western Australia must self-assess this activity against the CPD rules in their home jurisdiction and determine whether it meets their professional development obligations. Certificates of completion are issued to assist with record-keeping, but the final decision as to compliance rests with the individual practitioner and their local regulator. Participants should also note that some jurisdictions impose caps on certain delivery modes (e.g. South Australia limits 5 units per CPD year for web-based/recorded programs).
