Professional Development activities for Teachers and Educational Support Staff and school-based therapists who want more knowledge and understanding of autism and how it influences participation.These workshops will assist attendees to increase their understanding of the fundamentals of ASD and develop skills to better support autistic students.
Friday 27th February 9:00am - 3:00pm
The workshop will be presented in 3 sessions.
Session 1, Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder and Communication across the spectrum.
Session 2, Occupational Therapy in the classrooms.
Session 3, Creating Inclusive Classrooms.
These will be presented by April Beaton, Pavi Karthikeyan and our therapy team.
Cost: $200 per person (includes hand out notes, examples of visual supports, morning tea, light lunch and certificate)
