IWD Multicultural Women's Awards Luncheon
1 March 2026
About
Join us on March 1, 2026, at the stunning Links Golf Club Hope Island, as we honor the phenomenal women transforming our community every day! The purpose of the IWD Multicultural Women's Awards is to recognise and celebrate the achievements, leadership and contributions of women from diverse cultural backgrounds; raise visibility of their successes; promote gender equality and inclusion; strengthen cross-cultural community connections; and inspire and empower other women and girls by showcasing role models and best practice.
Nominations are now open. If you know an extraordinary woman making waves, let’s celebrate her achievements by nominating her by January 29th here! https://lnkd.in/gwSnSi3G
But wait, there’s more!
We’re thrilled to partner with an inspiring keynote speaker, Gloria Tabi who will be exploring purpose, identity, and leadership in multicultural communities, and launching of her powerful book ENOUGH.
Gloria Tabi is changing a conversation Australia still avoids. She is a race researcher, two-time author, and hair justice advocate who turns lived experience into action. Born in Ghana and shaped by life in Australia, Gloria founded Enable Women Africa: #InspiringHairFreedom to challenge hair discrimination, so Black women and girls can wear the hair they are born with, without shame or silence. Even as Australia talks more about women’s rights, unfair rules around Black girls and women’s hair remain largely unspoken. Gloria brings that truth into the open. Her book, ENOUGH, is a call to stop performing and start living.
