About
First Edition (Ages 8-12) is a quiet, creativity-focused holiday workshop for young artists who prefer a calmer, less overstimulating experience.
Participants become investigative journalists uncovering mysterious creatures around Footscray, using writing, drawing, collage, and watercolours to build a collaboratively created newspaper. Through gentle games, guided discussions, and imaginative tasks, they’ll design cryptids, develop conspiracy theories, craft headlines, create interviews, and assemble articles, all while working alongside peers in a thoughtful, low-pressure environment.
The day blends contemplation with playful investigation, encouraging curiosity, storytelling, and artistic exploration. Perfect for quieter makers with a passion for mysteries, journalism, and slow, immersive creativity.
