Stirling Players present 'Peace in our Time' by Noel Coward
'Peace in our Time' is a play of alternative history. It presents a world where the Battle of Britain was lost, and Germany successfully invaded and occupied the United Kingdom.
It unfolds in the saloon bar of a London pub, the Shy Gazelle, as the Shattock family, who run the pub, navigate daily life under Nazi rule.
Coward uses this sombre, alternative history to examine the complex human responses to occupation
