About
Rotary District Assembly training is primarily for incoming club leaders — especially board members, directors and committee chairs. It is also an opportunity for new Rotarians to attend.Key Attendees
• Club Board Members: Presidents-elect, secretary, treasurer, and directors are expected to attend. This ensures they understand Rotary’s goals, district’s priorities, and legislative requirements.
• Committee Chairs: Leaders of service, membership, foundation, and public image committees will also benefit from attending this training.
• Rotary Community Leaders: Will update us on their growth plans and also receive guidance on supporting the clubs in their areas.
• New Members (Optional but Encouraged): Assemblies often welcome newer Rotarians to help them learn about Rotary’s structure, projects, and opportunities.
Purpose of Attendance
• Leadership Preparation: This training helps equip our incoming leaders with the skills and strategies to run effective clubs. Specific position training (Secretary, Treasurer, Director/Committee Chair will occur online through Rotary International's Training Centre and District Training SharePoint.
• District Updates: Attendees learn about changes in Rotary policies, district goals, and grant processes. For example, clubs must qualify annually to apply for district grants, and training covers the application process.
• Collaboration: Assemblies foster networking and idea-sharing across the clubs in your area, strengthening our district-wide projects.
• Knowledge Transfer: Outgoing leaders can pass on insights to incoming officers, ensuring continuity.

If you’re stepping into a leadership role in your Rotary club — whether as president-elect, secretary, treasurer, director, or committee chair — attendance at District Assembly is essential. New members are also encouraged to join, as the training builds understanding of Rotary’s mission and prepares clubs for a successful year.

The times will be the same for all locations (except for Emerald), which are:
7.30am arrival for an 7.50am start
1pm finish time
