Audition Technique Workshop
This interactive 90 minute workshop with Melbourne Shakespeare Company Artistic Director Jennifer Sarah Dean allows you to present a monologue of your choice to a professional director and receive feedback and coaching to prepare you for your next audition.
About the workshop leader:
Jennifer trained at the Guildford School of Acting and later at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London. Jennifer is the Artistic Director of the Melbourne Shakespeare Company and has directed 12 of their productions including Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night. Jennifer’s other Australian credits include Love and Reparations (Melbourne Theatre Company), Assistant Director on The Almighty Sometimes (Melbourne Theatre Company), Resident Director on Pretty Woman (Jones Theatrical), Resident Director on Hadestown (Opera Australia), Resident Director on Moulin Rouge! The Musical (Global Creatures), The Haunting at Melbourne’s Athenaeum Theatre, a site specific production of Festen at the Ripponlea Ballroom and co-director on the first Australian National tour of Ghost Stories with Peter Snee. Jennifer is also a Diversity and Inclusion Liaison for Opera Australia Auditions.
