Celebrated London pianist, composer, and singer Pete Churchill (Professor of Jazz Composition, Royal Academy of Music) reunites with acclaimed Queensland vocalist Ingrid James for an evening of world-class jazz.Together, they’ll traverse the Great American Songbook, bossa nova, samba, and bebop, performing highlights from their latest release alongside inventive new arrangements. With Nic Jeffries (saxophone), Declan Horan (bass), and John McDermott (drums), this dynamic quintet delivers jazz at its freshest — loose, interactive, and joyously alive.
James & Churchill's recent ABC Jazz album and feature on the Australian Women of Jazz ’25 compilation showcase a partnership defined by lyrical elegance and rhythmic vitality.
