An old picture theatre looms over the coast. A faded monument to its own splendour. Born in the silent era, it once blazed with red velvet curtains, a sunken orchestra, and the promise of spectacle.From the street it looks unassuming. Step inside, and you’ve entered a time capsule that never agreed to stay shut. Rooms speak. Floors remember. And you, the observer, are drawn into a history that feels alive.
This summer on the Mornington Peninsula, Picture This! invites you to follow the ‘reel’ stories of decades past; from the Bunurong stories and perspectives of this place - past, present, and ongoing, to war-time fears, to swinging sixties, to something closer to now, discovering what a theatre can mean to a community.
From newcomers Forget Me Not Theatre, this rare, limited-run experience is not to be missed.

*** NOTE: Last Minute Venue Change ~ we are now showing at The All Saints Church Hall, Rosebud - Crn of Sixth Ave., and Pt Nepean Rd., Rosebud. Hall Entry is on Sixth Ave.
Show format: This is immersive cine-theatre. Small groups of up to 20 will move, stand, and sit as actors bring the show to life while inviting audiences to step into the story and join the ride. Some audience members may be invited to lightly interact with actors, while maintaining a safe and comfortable experience for all.
Age recommendations: It's an all-ages show, but it will be most engaging for adults, young adults and the young at heart rather than small children. Tickets are offered at a single flat rate due to limited capacity.
Access notes: The theatre has a wide entrance and flat level flooring and involves some dim lighting and effects. While audiences are toured through the floor space for the first 30 minutes, seating is also available for those with limited mobility.
Start time: Don't be late! Doors open 15 minutes prior to show time (for a bit of extra fun;) and doors will close strictly at advertised start time. We won't be able to admit you after doors close.
