Beginners A1.1 Online - Mondays - Term 1, 2026 |
Teacher: Lou Thompson. Monday evenings 6.45-8.45pm.
Classes will be held online via Zoom.
The main focus of the term one course will be the first lessons of the textbook ‘Inspire 1’:
Leçon 1: greetings, saying good-bye, introducing yourself, classroom objects
Leçon 2: instructions in the classroom, asking questions in class, days of the week, numbers, alphabet
Leçon 3: France and the French-speaking world
Leçon 4: nationalities, introduction to some French grammar rules
Leçon 5: sharing information about yourself with others
Leçon 6: the French verbs for ‘to have’ and ‘to be’, saying ‘a’ and ‘some’, months and seasons
The course covers the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Audio files and videos for the course are available online for consolidation at home.
