This event will take place in Gold Coast on 5 Sept 2026 and the theme is 'Women’s Health: Prevention, Care and Wellbeing.' It will provide a platform for the detailed exploration of these topics and will feature presentations from fertility specialists and renowned healthcare providers.


Learning Outcomes:
- Determine appropriate assessment and referral pathways to fertility specialist services based on patient needs.
- Outline various contraception methods and available procedures.
- Discuss the process involved with breast cancer screening and imaging, alongside the limitations it entails.
- Outline some of the considerations when offering screening during pregnancy.
- Discuss the process involved with gynaecological cancer screening, alongside the limitations it entails.
- Discuss the impact of endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain to a person's fertility and quality of life.
- Discuss the key features in assessment and management of menopause.
- Identify key contributors to weight gain during perimenopause and menopause.
- Apply evidence-based management strategies to support weight optimisation and metabolic health in primary care.
- Identify appropriate patient selection criteria, indications, contraindications, and counselling considerations for the use of IUD’s and contraceptive implants in general practice.
- Demonstrate safe insertion and removal techniques for IUDs and contraceptive implants using simulation models.
- Reflect on personal clinical approaches to obstetric management by comparing individual practice behaviours against the de-identified patient cases presented by the facilitator.
- Benchmark individual clinical reasoning against peer practices regarding the identification and escalation of unstable or potentially unstable antenatal scenarios.
