Professional Development for Teachers
Join the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery’s Education Team and start the year with an inspiring and creative professional development session, where you will:
• Hear about the Hobart Current: Here exhibition from TMAG’s Head of Art, Dr Ash Kerr
• Discover what TMAG has on offer in 2026 for educators and students
• Engage in a hands-on creative activity that can be adapted to different classroom and learning environments
• Relax and network with colleagues across a variety of educational settings
This professional development program is designed for educators across all year levels and subject areas. It aligns with the Australian Curriculum Critical and Creative Thinking general capability.

• 6.2 Participate in learning to update knowledge and practice, targeted to professional needs and school and/or system priorities.
• 7.4 Participate in professional and community networks and forums to broaden knowledge and improve practice.
Please note: This event is strictly for educators in the primary, secondary and college system, or pre-service teachers.
