Join us for this special In Conversation with artist Stephania Windhoz Leigh and Dr Daniel Haumschild (Manager of Exhibitions and Storytelling, Melbourne Holocaust Museum). Together they will discuss Stephania’s current project of translating and responding to her Papa Otto’s Holocaust diaries.The Summer Artist Incubator has provided studio space for Stephania to focus on the research and translations of her Papa’s diaries with practical support from the Holocaust Museum; allowing time to explore memory, identity and intergenerational storytelling through her practice of painting.
Sharing Stephania’s deeply personal work, this conversation will provide insights into the impact of translating family memories and the connection with broader Jewish history.
