Jagged Little Pill: The Musical
About
Jagged Little Pill is a contemporary rock musical inspired by Alanis Morissette’s landmark album of the same name. Set in a seemingly picture-perfect suburban community, the story follows the Healy family and a group of teenagers as they confront the realities beneath the surface of their lives. As relationships fracture and secrets emerge, the musical explores themes of identity, consent, addiction, racism, sexuality, and healing. Teenagers grapple with peer pressure, trauma, and belonging, while adults struggle with marriage, parenting, and self-deception. When an act of sexual violence forces the community to reckon with its values, long-standing silences are broken and accountability becomes unavoidable.
Driven by Morissette’s raw, emotionally charged music, Jagged Little Pill blends storytelling, movement, and song to ask urgent questions about truth, responsibility, and resilience. The result is an unflinching yet ultimately hopeful portrait of people learning to listen—to one another and to themselves.
