Haroon Popalzai is a professional and distinguished Afghan artist specializing in traditional Afghan music, particularly in the genre of both classical and contemporary Ghazal, a poetic form of music originating from Arabic, Persian and Urdu literature. Haroon will be supported by a four-piece band.

This will be an opportunity for Afghans in Melbourne to come together to experience the joy of music through this talented master of traditional Ghazal with songs that not only transcend time and culture, but they also touch our souls with their depth of emotions and poetic essence and meaningful themes.

Haroon’s commitment is to not only captivate the hearts and minds of the audience with his voice and songs but to create awareness and understanding in appreciation of art, culture and sustainability in music industry across diverse backgrounds within Australia and across the globe.
