ANZATS Seminar - Book Launch
About
St Francis College is delighted to host the Brisbane ANZATS Seminar featuring the launch of Adam Couchman’s new book, Liturgia Dei: Worshiping the Worshiping God.What does it mean to worship? Often, we think of worship as something we do for God—a human action flowing from human effort. But what if we began with the idea that Jesus is a fully human and fully divine worshiper? Could it mean that God is worshiping?
In Liturgia Dei, Adam Couchman explores these questions, suggesting that worship is not primarily something we do for God, but something God eternally performs. Worship is the eternal glorification of God within the divine life of Father, Son, and Mother Spirit—and the church joins this worship through Jesus Christ.
The seminar will include responses from two Brisbane-based theologians, Ben Myers (Alphacrucis University College) and Janice McRandal (Australian Catholic University / University of Divinity), followed by a reply from Adam Couchman.
Join us for an afternoon of theological dialogue, learning, and connection within the wider theological community.
If you’re unable to attend in person, you can join us online via Zoom. The Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants a day or two before the event.
