Caring for Self: Caring For Others
About
Trauma work asks much of both clients and clinicians. This three-day workshop provides a structured yet deeply experiential approach to building the skills, strategies, and personal presence needed for this work. Participants will learn to apply trauma-informed frameworks, including Working S.A.F.E.L.Y., the Window of Tolerance, and Polyvagal Theory, while integrating movement and yoga-informed interventions and somatic practices into Phase 1 stabilisation work. Alongside client-focused strategies, the workshop highlights the importance of clinician self-care through the K.I.N.D.N.E.S.S. model, fostering resilience and sustainability in practice. Participants will leave with greater clinical awareness, embodied presence, and a toolbox of practical techniques to support trauma work in diverse settings. This is a highly experiential 3 day workshop with required pre-workshop reading that will be made available to registrants two months prior to the workshop. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance for 18hours of CPD.
