About
The Gottman “Making Marriage Work” course (often offered as The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work program or workshop) is a research-based couples course developed from the work of Drs. John and Julie Gottman. It teaches practical, evidence-informed tools to help couples strengthen friendship, improve communication, manage conflict, and deepen emotional connection. The curriculum is grounded in decades of scientific study and centers on core principles like understanding your partner’s inner world, nurturing fondness and admiration, turning toward each other, and creating shared meaning in the relationship. Participants learn skills through teaching, exercises, and guided couple practice to build a more resilient, fulfilling partnership.
It's run over two sessions - a weekday evening (7pm-9pm) and a Saturday morning (9am-1pm), with attendance at both sessions required.
