Amongst Australia’s finest jazz artists, Sydney-based saxophonist Sandy Evans and Melbourne-based pianist Andrea Keller have achieved national and international recognition for their excellence as performers, composers and leaders. They are also important as pioneering women in Australian jazz and champions for women in music.Sandy has been described as ‘one of the best contemporary jazz composers/musicians anywhere’.allaboutjazz.com She is a foundational figure in Australian jazz, leading a number of ground-breaking bands since the early 1980s and for many years exploring Indian classical music from her jazz perspective.

Together they have been performing in a duo for several years including concerts at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues, Zephyrs Jazz at Four Winds, and the Orange Winter Jazz Festival.
Sandy and Andrea co-lead Resonance, a collaboration with Kristin Berardi and Jenny Barnes that explores their shared experiences as female creative musicians. Their debut album will be released in 2026.
