A practical, hands-on photography course designed to help you understand your camera and start shooting with confidence, creatively and technically.  

Perfect for beginners and early-stage photographers, and also a great refresher for intermediate and advanced shooters (you’ll almost always pick up a few forgotten, or brand-new nuggets along the way).

You’ll cover:

• Camera controls (DSLR & mirrorless)

• Aperture, shutter speed & ISO

• Lens focal lengths and depth of field

• Focus, white balance & colour

• Image sharpening, noise & resizing

• File types (JPEG, RAW, TIFF)

• Photography “rules” — and when to break them

• Creative composition basics

• Practical travel photography tips

• 08:45 arrival for 09:00 start

• Runs until 16:00 (early departure welcome)

• Morning & afternoon tea included

• Lunch is not included.  Please bring a packed lunch (fridge available)

• Each attendee receives a printed copy of all course content
