Special One-Night Screening in Melbourne — Award-Winning Ukrainian Sci-Fi: U Are the Universe 🚀Melbourne audiences are invited to a unique screening of the acclaimed Ukrainian science-fiction film U Are the Universe (Ти — Космос) on 9 March at 6:30 PM at Lido Cinemas. This will be the only official Melbourne screening as part of the film’s limited Australian cinema run.
Directed by Ukrainian filmmaker Pavlo Ostrikov, the film has received international acclaim, including recognition at the Toronto International Film Festival and selection as one of the year’s best films by the British Film Institute, alongside 30+ international festival awards.
The story follows Andriy, a Ukrainian space trucker who becomes the last human alive after Earth is destroyed. Alone in deep space, he unexpectedly connects with a French astronaut, transforming a survival story into a deeply human and emotional sci-fi journey.
The film recently completed its cinema run in Ukraine, making this a rare opportunity to experience contemporary Ukrainian cinema on the big screen in Melbourne.
