Greek Theatre Now presents Sophocles' Oedipus the King at the Burbidge Amphitheatre, Australian National Botanic Gardens, Clunies Ross St, Acton, Canberra, ACT 2601, 1-6 April 2026.Wednesday 1 April 2026: 10.30 am
Thursday 2 April 2026: 10.30 am + 2 pm
Good Friday 3 April 2026: 2.30 pm
Easter Saturday 4 April 2026: 2.30 pm
Easter Sunday 5 April 2026: 2.30 pm
Easter Monday 6 April 2026: 2.30 pm
Runtime is about 100 minutes.
Please allow about 15 minutes for the walk from the ANBG Visitor Centre to the Burbidge Amphitheatre in the upper part of the Eucalypt Lawn. Please follow the directional signs from the Visitor Centre. There are toilets at the Visitor Centre. There are also toilets in the lower part of the Eucalypt Lawn.
This is an outdoor event. Please feel free to bring a folding chair, sun hat, umbrella and your own snacks. Cushions available. Meals and refreshments available at the Pollen Cafe.
People with a disability and/or mobility issues please phone Michael Smith on 0415 818 673 to book an electric mobility scooter or disability/mobility transport from the ANBG carpark to the Eucalypt Lawn.
