The Greek-Australian Writers’ Festival returns on 19 April 2026 for its fifth year. Its founder and director, Dr Helen Vatsikopoulos, is a Walkley Award winning journalist and academic. This year's books examine the state of multiculturalism and the arts, extinction and the environment, the writings of Patrick White and Charmian Clift, as well as featuring stories that reflect the complexities of the 21st century diaspora – its conflicting voices, contradictions and fresh interpretations of Greek culture.
This year's authors include Jacqueline Andronicus, Alexandra Dellios, Koraly Dimitriadis, Vrasidas Karalis, Natalie Kyriacou, Helena Pantsis, Nikos Papastergiadis, Peter Papathanasiou, Andrew Pippos, Zoe Terakes, Dina Tourvas, Nadia Wheatley, Andrew Jakubowicz and Alexandra Dellios.
Writers in conversation with Helen Vatsikopoulos, Anthony Macris, Peter Polites, Nadia Wheatley, John Mangos, George Paxinos, Kathy Kallos, George Vardas, Alfred Vincent and Gabriella Accaria.
Mythical Kythira photographic exhibition by Jacqueline Andronicus will be showing on the day.
