Sarah Carroll is one of Victoria’s best-known and most loved roots music performers. Her original songs come from her big, brave heart, and chime with truth, reflecting her unique world view and keenly observant eye.
Sarah and her band The Big Fuss play with passion and precision; dynamic, sinuous, powerful music beats from the stage when they join forces. The album they made together, NQR&B (2024) was in several top ten lists and celebrated on Melbourne’s premier public radio stations, 3PBS, where it was album of the week, and 3RRR, where it was part of the Soundscape the month it was released.
The Big Fuss are: Shannon Bourne on electric guitars; Leigh Ivin on lap and pedal steel and electric guitars; George Carroll Wilson on bass and Fenn Wilson on drums. Everyone sings and is handy with a joke.
