Living Stories Writing Workshops 13-17 years

Join us for a FREE 90-minute creative writing workshop hosted by Harry Laing to help improve your craft in short story and poetry.Harry is a poet, children’s author and comic performer. His fourth poetry collection, Time of Fire (Bunda Press, 2023), reflects on his experience of the 2019–20 bushfires as both a landholder and member of the RFS.
He is the author of three poetry collections for children aged 6–12: RapperBee (2021), MoonFish (2019) and Shoctopus (2015). Poems from MoonFish have been selected for lesson plans by the Victorian Education Department.
Harry has presented creative writing workshops for more than 20 years and is a popular performer at schools and festivals. He lives near Braidwood, NSW, where the wombats keep him busy.
These workshops will also help you generate ideas to create an entry piece of writing for the Living Stories Writing Prize.
Registrations are essential.
Living Stories is presented by WestWords, WestLit Libraries, Create NSW, the James N. Kirby Foundation, Arab Bank Australia, and Australian Catholic University.
