Theology of the Body & Art: The Way of Beauty 2027
About
Seeing with New EyesThe Theology of the Body Institute, in partnership with the Sydney Centre for Evangelisation, invites you to a unique Theology of the Body immersion experience exploring art, beauty, and the human vocation.
This course is designed to heal the senses and transform the way we see one another, the created world, and ultimately God Himself.
Participants will encounter created beauty through classical and modern art, including painting, sculpture, poetry, music, and cinema — discovering how beauty acts as a pathway to the Uncreated Beauty who is God.
Drawing deeply from St. John Paul II’s Letter to Artists, the Theology of the Body catechesis, insights from Pope Benedict XVI, and the wider Catholic tradition, this immersion invites participants to walk the Way of Beauty as a powerful path of prayer, contemplation, and evangelisation.
As Fyodor Dostoyevsky famously wrote, “Beauty will save the world.”
Come and become one who sees — and learns to reveal God through beauty to others.
The course will be led by Bill Donaghy, whose teaching weaves together theology, poetry, art, and lived experience in a deeply human and hope-filled way.
