Sam Scott-Young (Wallaby #690)
Born and raised in Townsville, Sam Scott-Young forged a distinguished rugby career through sheer toughness, determination and an uncompromising approach to the game. A former student of Marist Brothers College Ashgrove, he represented Australian Schools before progressing to Queensland and earning Wallabies selection in 1990.
A hard-nosed backrow forward, Scott-Young earned 7 Test caps for Australia and was renowned for his fearless performances against New Zealand, helping the Wallabies secure the Bledisloe Cup in 1992. His passion, resilience and commitment to the jersey made him one of the most respected forwards of his era.
