Sound Ecology & Field Recording Workshop
About
The Yarra Ranges Sound Ecology Project (YRSEP) is a community-driven arts initiative exploring the living soundscape of our region. Through listening, recording, and creative practice, we’re building a collective archive of the sounds that define our environment, from forests and waterways to town centres and quiet hidden spaces.YRSEP is a hands-on introduction to field recording, the art of capturing environmental sound and transforming it into creative material. Whether you’re completely new to audio or already working in music, film, or sound design, this session will guide you through the fundamentals of deep listening and practical recording techniques.
No experience is required, just curiosity.
