Meet the Local - Ann Howard
Dangar Island is one of Sydney’s most unique communities. It is rich in Indigenous, colonial and natural history, and one of the few Sydney suburbs without cars.
Originally from the UK, Ann Howard has lived on Dangar Island for over 50 years where she raised 3 sons after her husband died suddenly. She lives in ‘The Pavilion’ which is the only remaining part of the original Dangar House. The property was restored by Ann and is now heritage listed.
Following a screening of her short film River Woman, Ann will be speaking about the heritage of her property and the changes she has experienced during her life on Dangar Island.
