ABOUT
Katherine Littlewood brings over 24 years of experience in the learn-to-swim industry, with more than 13 years in leadership and management roles across swim schools in Queensland.
Currently working in Membership & Engagement with SWIM Coaches and Teachers Australia, Katherine draws on her extensive background in swim school management, operations and staff development to support swim schools across the country. Her experience spans teaching, program management, training and development, and leading large teams in fast-paced aquatic environments.
Katherine is particularly passionate about the progression and development of swim teachers, creating practical training frameworks, and building strong, confident teams. She is known for her ability to connect industry knowledge with real-world application, helping swim schools improve service quality, staff capability and overall operations.
ABOUT
Joanne Efendi is an aquatic education specialist with 25 years’ experience across swim teaching, program management, lifesaving operations, community engagement and event delivery. She is currently the Projects and Events Officer with SWIM Coaches & Teachers Australia, where she supports the planning and delivery of national and international aquatic education programs, professional development events, webinars, roadshows and SWIMCON initiatives.
Throughout her career, Joanne has worked across a range of roles including learn to swim instruction, program supervision, pool management, aquatic management and industry event coordination. Her background gives her a strong understanding of the practical challenges faced by swim teachers, coaches, swim schools and aquatic facilities.
Joanne is passionate about creating meaningful professional development experiences that connect people, share practical knowledge, and support stronger outcomes in water safety education, drowning prevention and workforce capability across the aquatic industry.
