Lively Irish jigs and reels, haunting slow airs, the music of Turlough O’Carolan and Robert’s own compositions inspired by the South West of Western Australia...2025 was a big year for Robert (WA) and Manuela (Italy). Robert won Instrumentalist of the Year at the Australian Folk Music Awards and also a WAM award as String player of the Year for his work on his album Kiangardarup, an hour-long original composition inspired by the Torbay Inlet in South West Australia. Robert and Manuela worked on this album for many years, and they are known for their unique tone, arrangements, unison playing and harmonies.
