About
Over 150 years, the Royal Brighton Yacht Club has grown from a small shed on the beach to one of Australia’s premier yacht clubs—and a Brighton institution. In this talk, you’ll hear stories from the club’s history, followed by a short tour of the facilities.Born in Canada, Don Warner is a long-time club member and the author of ‘A Modern History of the Royal Brighton Yacht Club 1875-2025’. He will share with us anecdotes of the people and events that shaped the club and discuss the path he followed to research and publish his book, which will be available for sale.
Following the talk, Don will lead us on a brief tour of club facilities. The tour will not include the marina.
Refreshments will be available to purchase in the club’s Olympic Restaurant and Bar.
