Brunch with Death: Navigating a life changing diagnosis
About
In this session we'll learn how to navigate a life changing illness, as the person with the diagnosis or as a carer. This session focuses on how to plan ahead while remaining hopeful, how to communicate with healthcare providers, navigate difficult conversations and keep your values at the centre of your journey.Based on the best-selling book "Hope for the Best, Plan for the Rest: 7 Keys for Navigating a Life-Changing Diagnosis" by Dr Sammy Winemaker and Dr Hsien Seow, hosts of the Waiting Room Revolution podcast, this session is part of a global movement to put the human back at the centre of healthcare.
Brunch with Death offers a gentle space to reflect on your final sunset while sharing conversation with curious, likeminded community members. Each month, End of Life Doula Estella Hutchinson facilitates a workshop on a themed topic, followed by an open, supportive discussion over brunch.
Cost: $25 per person - food and beverages at own cost
