About

Presented by Our Lady of Sion College. Written by Oscar Wilde The Importance of Being Earnest is a sparkling satire of Victorian society. Beneath its elegant manners and charming romance lies a playful critique of social expectations, identity, and the absurd lengths people will go to in order to maintain appearances. Wilde’s sharp dialogue and unforgettable characters create a world where sincerity is questionable, cucumber sandwiches are fiercely protected, and the name “Ernest” seems to hold surprising importance!
