Connect with other women in the building industry, learn, and get inspired at the first HIA Building Women Lunch of 2026 featuring guest speaker Abbey Holmes!Abbey Holmes is one of Australia’s preeminent broadcasters, and her media work combines her love for all things sport, adventure and travel.
A multi-talented sports star, Abbey represented Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory in netball, before finding her niche in football. She was the first female Australian Rules Footballer to kick 100 goals in an established women’s league season, and was an integral part of the Adelaide Football Club team that won the inaugural AFLW premiership in 2017.
Since completing her on-field career, Abbey has found a home in broadcasting - including joining the Channel 7 AFL and AFLW commentary team, presenting on travel, and appearing on Survivor and SAS Australia. At this event she will be sharing insights and lessons from her career to date - don’t miss out!
