These events are in person and not virtual.
Mt Stromlo is a dark site, so please bring a torch. It is also can very cold, so please dress very warmly. Follow the guidance of traffic marshals who will direct you to parking. The road is single lane in places, so please exercise patience and caution in particular for pedestrians. Stargazing will run continuously from 7 - 9pm. You do not need to be there at 7pm - you won't miss out!
There will be 8 - 15 telescopes set-up outside to use with an astronomer to explain what you are looking at. All tickets/visitors can use these.
If you want to enter a small dome as well, please book a ticket for a 10-minute slot (you will also be able to use the telescopes outside the rest of the night).
If on the night, your dome booking/session is cloudy or missed, we will try to fit you in - there will be a standby queue on the night.
