The Cardinia Civic Concert Band is proud to present acclaimed Australian drummer Anthony Priest for a series of workshops free to the community.Each session offers a unique experience, exploring rhythm, a variety of techniques, styles, and interpretations on the drum kit and a range of percussion instruments.
You can attend either one or both sessions, as each session will cover different skills and insights into the art of drumming, tuned and untuned percussion.

Anthony Priest is an electrifying drummer and percussionist renowned for his versatility, precision, and dynamic stage presence. With a career spanning international tours, major festival stages, and high-profile collaborations, he has established himself as a powerful force across genres including funk, reggae, Afrobeat, rock, and contemporary fusion.
Anthony has performed with nationally and internationally acclaimed artists and ensembles, including Guy Sebastian, Groove City, The Baker Boys, Bombastic, The White Tree, Be Challenged, and Alariiya. His work with Alariiya has seen him share stages with Afrobeat legends Seun Kuti and Femi Kuti, as well as at prestigious events such as the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre Multicultural Awards.
His international collaborations extend to artists such as Ainsley Diaz (Nashville) and UK’s Keziah Jones, while his stylistic range is showcased through projects like The Slight Return (Jimi Hendrix Revival) and The Bleeding Rose, the latter currently holding recording and distribution contracts with Musik & Film Records (USA).
Anthony’s performance credits include appearances at the iconic Regent Theatre, Channel 9’s Hey Hey It’s Saturday comeback special, and the MTV Australian Tour (2007). He has toured nationally with Direct Influence Reggae Band (Adelaide tour) and continues to perform regularly with the Phil Deeh Band across Victoria.
