Asabi Goodman is an American-born Australian vocalist and performer with nearly 40 years of experience across music, theatre, and screen. Known for her rich tone and commanding stage presence, she has performed in major productions including Hairspray! The Musical (2022–2023), where she starred as Motormouth Maybelle in both the Australian tour and the North American tour, and Chicago (2023–2024) as Matron “Mama” Morton. Her screen work includes Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis (2022).

Alongside her theatre career, Asabi has built a diverse musical repertoire spanning jazz, soul, pop, and classical performance, and has produced several acclaimed shows, including Two Divas: Jazz vs Opera.

Asabi will take the stage at Ruby's with her Quartet in a special tribute to jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday. Celebrating two of the greatest voices in jazz history, this intimate performance promises an evening of timeless classics, soulful storytelling, and the vocal brilliance that has defined Asabi’s career.

Seating is unreserved and claimed by those who arrive first — the early ones always find the best vantage point.

Food and small plates will be available throughout the evening, and the bar will be flowing with local and international wines, classic cocktails, fine spirits, and a deep collection of bourbons worthy of New Orleans itself.
